About MCD Swim
The MCD Swim Programme serves as the foundational component within Multisport Club Dubai, concentrating its efforts on instilling essential aquatic skills in young children. This structured program adheres to the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework, providing a clear pathway for participants as they advance through various developmental stages. Starting with basic water skills, participants gradually build a strong swimming foundation. As they progress, they not only enhance their swimming abilities but also cultivate valuable life skills such as dedication, resilience, and teamwork. Ultimately, the program aims to prepare participants for the challenges and opportunities presented by the MCD Swim Squad, offering a comprehensive approach to athlete development and a platform for both personal growth and competitive achievement.
MCD Swim Levels
MCD SWIM BEGINNERS
(3-7 years old, 30 minutes session)
The MCD Swim Beginners swim group is a programme designed for individuals who are new to swimming or have limited experience in the water. It offers a supportive and safe environment for participants to develop their swimming skills and gain confidence in the water. The emphasis of this group is on building a strong foundation in swimming fundamentals. The coaches focus on BLABT model (body position, legs, arms, breathing and timing) and swimmer’s coordination to help participants develop efficient and effective swimming movements.
MCD SWIM INTERMEDIATE
(3-7 years old, 30 minutes session)
The MCD Swim Intermediate group is a level designed for children who have already acquired basic swimming skills and are looking to further develop their abilities in the water. Participants in this group typically possess a comfortable level of confidence and competence in the water, including proficiency in basic strokes such as freestyle and backstroke. The primary focus of the MCD intermediate swim group is to refine technique, build endurance, and introduce more advanced swimming strokes (butterfly and breaststroke). Participants will engage in a variety of structured training sessions that involve drills and stroke correction under the guidance of experienced coaches. Overall, the MCD Swim Intermediate group serves as a stepping stone between beginner-level swimming and more advanced training programmes, offering a structured curriculum and guidance to help swimmers enhance their technique, endurance, and overall swimming proficiency.
MCD SWIM ADVANCED
(5-9 years old, 45 minutes session)
An MCD Swim Advanced level refers to a stage of swimming proficiency where our MCD swimmers have already mastered the fundamental skills and techniques in all 4 strokes, and they are now focusing on refining and perfecting their abilities. Advanced MCD swimmers are comfortable and confident in the water, capable of performing 50m in at least 2 strokes with maintaining the high quality swimming skills.
MCD SWIM SQUAD
(8-12 years old, 60 minutes session)
MCD Swim Squad is dedicated to fostering a love for swimming while promoting physical fitness, swim skill development, and a strong team spirit. Founded on the principles of perseverance, discipline, and achievement, we aim to create an environment where every swimmer can flourish and achieve their personal goals.
